加强对配套设备的检查和维护必不可少。配套设备是否运行正常，直接关系到水质的好坏，从而影响到鱼的生长。因此，每天除检查鱼缸有无漏水现象，过滤器、水泵等是否正常外，更重要的是经常对这些设备进行维护保养，以保证其运行效率。如定期对过滤器进行除污清洗，避免因污物积累过多而降低过滤效率；及时清除水泵进水口，保证水流量等。
